While playing in the sandbox this morning the boys dug up a pile of turtle eggs! There were 12 in all and the shells were very soft and rubbery.
Pretty cool, and pretty amazing that they dug in the very spot to reveal them. Remember, our sandbox is 28' x 28' so it really was a stroke of luck to find these! Ben covered them back up carefully, and we have the spot marked and will watch to see what we can see. By the way, there is still another couple of weeks before our other turtle nest should hatch.
