Those Pesky White Flakes

See those little white bits on my photo? It's not dust on the lens. It's not swamp gas. It's not fallout from a pillow factory explosion (no, not this time). It is good old-fashioned snow. Big, fat, white flakes. Not too many of them, and they melt as they touch the ground. No shoveling to do or snowmen to build, just a little warning to those of us who still havn't finished up our outdoor projects or harvested the last of the carrots.

We know who we are, and we had better get moving. Next time it may be for real....

Ahhhhh you live in a pastoral dream! If only I could see a few of those beauties and have a run at them with my tongue out.

Freeze warning for us tonight! It was 80 yesterday, but that is typical Texas. One day winter is just here.

Oh, you hit the nail on the head with catching flakes on your tongue. It took my kids 20 minutes to load themselves into the car because of that very activity!

Bundle up! How do you manage to adjust when the temps go from 80 down to freezing? Seriously? At least up here in the tundra we sort of get to acclimate bit by bit so we hardly notice the icicles on our noses when they come!

Wait! You *do* acclimate by going from 110 down to 80 *then* to freezing! How could I forget those blazing summer temps you get!
