Well, we got the new school year off to a start today in the usual way. After a big breakfast this morning, the boys were presented with their school cones. The boys anticipate this little ritual as it marks the start of a more settled routine for us.

Although we now call them "Squirrel Cones" because that is what Charlie thought they were called last year.
Charlie with his "Squirrel Cone".After investigating the contents and eating their fill of candy, we played a new math game (from Will's cone) called Sleeping Giants or Shut the Box. Then we did some geography and ecology reading, chatted about our upcoming year and enjoyed the beautiful breezy weather. A relaxing and fun beginning to our week.
Will can't wait to dig in!
