Steve and William arrived home Sunday afternoon sore, tired and full of stories about all the fun they had at camp. A really great group of kids went this year, including six of Will's friends from his den, making the time extra special. Everything is more enjoyable when friends are along!
Some highlights:
Every day at lunchtime, each group had to come up with a "cheer" based on the animal name of their cabin. The best cheer won the privilege of getting in line for chow first. Will, Steve and friends were in the "Buffalo" cabin and their cheer was:
"Buffalo, Buffalo
We eat grass.
Let us in
Or we'll trample your....
Garden!!"
Well, they won with that one and got to eat first. Pretty sure one of the Dads came up with that!
B.B. shooting is always a popular activity at camp...
As is archery.
Sadly, this may be the last year for ponies at the camp. Even though it is one of the most requested activities, it is also one of the most costly to provide. Horsies need to eat, ya know!
Here is William with "Spirit". Spirit was indeed spirited by nature, but was unusually well-behaved for Will and Steve.

I know all the Dads came back feeling their age, but the kids are already looking forward to going back next year!
