Ben had a double victory at the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby this year. He won 3rd place for speed and 2nd place for design. The speed award qualified him for the district races to be held in beautiful downtown Smalltown this Saturday. We'll be trailering the car to our destination early tomorrow morning for a weigh-in and inspection, followed by the races. Keep your fingers crossed for another trophy!
William participated in the Pinewood Derby for the first time this year and placed 7th for speed out of 37 participants. That's great for a first race, and he was thrilled to be a part of the whole process of building and racing. He received a certificate to put up in his room.
Update: April 19th- Ben didn't bring home a trophy from the district races, but we got fat on nachos and pop and had fun trying anyway!
